Volume 1 • Bicentennial Super-Liner Feature
A LEGEND FORGED IN ’88
In 1988, as Australia celebrated 200 years of nationhood, Mack Trucks Australia marked its own milestone — 25 years of building trucks for the toughest roads on earth. To honour both occasions, Mack produced something extraordinary: the Bicentennial Super-Liner, now considered one of the most iconic rigs ever built on Australian soil.
Only 16 units were ever produced, each hand-finished and individually named after figures from our nation’s history. These trucks weren’t mass-made; they were crafted with pride — polished metal, prestige trim, and comforts unheard of at the time, such as sleeper boxes, fridges, premium seating, and more.
BUILT TOUGH. DRIVEN PROUD.
From hauling livestock across red-dust plains to powering along the Hume, the Bicentennial Super-Liner didn’t just move freight — it carried the story of a nation on wheels. Its chrome, stance, and unmistakable Mack growl earned it instant legendary status.
SYMBOL OF A NATION ON WHEELS
Decades later, these rare trucks still turn heads at shows and on the highway. They represent craftsmanship, grit, honour, and the golden era of Australian trucking — a time when horsepower, pride, and hard yakka ruled the road.
